MS2 Stream Deck Plugin Installation Instructions

Version: 4.0 | Released on: May 21st, 2023

Installing MS2 SCS Telemetry plugin

To be able to gather data from ATS or ETS2, we have to first install the MS2 SCS Telemetry plugin. This is a small DLL file that was developed in accordance with SCS Software guidelines and enables third-party software to communicate with their games.

Step 1:

Download the zip file with the plugin from our Downloads page. Regardless what option you downloaded, the zip file will contain a folder called plugins and a file called ms2-telemetry.dll in it. Extract the downloaded zip file into a folder on your hard drive.

Step 2:

Locate where the ATS and/or ETS2 is installed on your hard drive. On the following image you can see an example where American Truck Simulator is installed on my hard drive (in my Steam library folder):

If your Steam library is in the default location, the paths should be:

  • ATS:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\American Truck Simulator
  • ETS2: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2

Step 3:

Copy the plugins folder that we provided with our Stream Deck Plugin and paste it into your game's bin/win_x64 folder. You can see on the above image how it should look after you copied it over. Although the image shows ATS, the exact same works for ETS2.

⚠Warning!⚠

If you used our plugin before version 4.0, you already have the plugins folder and a file called scs-telemetry.dll in it. You can now remove this file as we do not use it any more. Make sure you use the new ms2-telemetry.dll file instead.
